“We absolutely love the Piano Lab and Caelyn. Our son is in 2nd grade and started working with Caelyn when he was in 1st. He has grown so much as a pianist and in music learning. I would 100% recommend Caelyn— she is patient, kind, engaging, educated, and fun. My son looks forward to his weekly lessons!”—Nicole B., Parent ★★★★★
Why our groups are so popular…
Confidence— Self esteem grows where children learn with and play for others. Parents say that performing in class concerts every couple of weeks in our Junior Keys and Piano Keys courses has often been a game changer for their child.
Progress is quicker — Groups continuously move forward, so it’s not surprising that we find students typically progress faster. Hte momentum that groups have provides a natural motivation to practice.
We learn better in a group— Research shows that we learn as much from others as we do from a teacher, and we learn best when we are relaxed & are having fun!
Whole body learning — Is more fun in a group
Some things are just done better with others like —
Ensemble playing— The ability to play in time with others is an important skill that pianists often struggle with.
Playing games that accelerates and deepens learning is more fun with teammates
Singing, the key to developing musical skills. Singing is easier, more collaborative and fun, with others

IS YOUR CHILD…
Fascinated by the piano but not sure where to start?
Struggling to learn on their own or with an online app?
Frustrated—maybe even to the point of tears— because they can’t play the songs they love??
If any of these sound familiar, then your child is ready for a different kind of piano experience.

what is whole body learning?
Sing and do actions which internalizes the learning before moving to the piano. This scaffolds the learning by providing a succession of little wins along the way.
Students remember better. The more neural pathways engaged in learning, the stronger the memory.
By Singing & playing with music tracks and video clips, children learn to play in time and follow the music.
We add in plenty of repetition, and your child will thrive.
In a forte lesson, children:
Multi-sensory learning has been proven to be the most brain-friendly way to learn. Forte’s Whole Body Learning teaching method is a multi-sensory approach, where multiple sense- including visual, auditory, and kinesthetic- are engaged in the learning process.
Current neuroscience research shows that using embodied and multimodal learning strategies helps students learn more efficiently and remember more effectively.

Starting children in early childhood classes as babies is beneficial as their ears develop well. Being in play-based group piano/music classes offers rich benefits. Through creative play, young learners develop:
Fine motor skills: Enhanced by finger coordination on keys
Cognitive growth: Through recognizing patterns and sequences
Social skills: Via interactions with peers and teachers
Auditory skills: building sensitivity to pitch, tone, and rhythm
Listening and focus: improving overall concentration
These classes also nurture creativity, confidence, and self-expression

I teach 45 weeks out of the year, and tuition is spread evenly across all 12 months—regardless of how many lessons fall within a given month. Your tuition is not a payment for a set number of lessons or amount of time, but rather a reservation of your weekly time slot in the studio schedule.

Yes. You will need an instrument for your child to practice on. The minimum you will need is an 88-key weighted electronic keyboard with a pedal. I’m happy to walk through purchasing an instrument.

Each child learns at their own pace and will develop skills at different rates. While progress timelines vary, students who have supportive parents and maintain a consistent daily practice routine are more likely to achieve their goals more quickly.

Weekly lessons provide the best accountability and are suggested. A la carte lessons (lessons subject to availability) are available if weekly lessons are not an option, however, student progress is usually significantly slower with this option
